As Managing Partner and President of Simran Capital, Mesh conceptualized and trademarked the firm’s Pre-event Driven Activist Strategy. Mesh oversees the strict adherence of this strategy to the firm’s overall investment philosophy.

Mesh has approximately 12 years of industry experience having started his career as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers and JP Morgan Chase. He evaluated and underwrote numerous deals worldwide ranging from M&A transactions to bond & equity origination to corporate restructuring. In 2001, Mesh introduced an innovative approach to portfolio management by incorporating valuation and recovery analysis into traditional high yield research. As a Managing Director & Partner for Advest, Inc. and RW Pressprich & Co., Mesh became one of the industry’s leading experts with an estimated trading volume of more than $1 billion per year.

Mesh’s innovative approach to credit analysis and exceptional understanding of bond market dynamics has earned him respect in the industry on both the buy and sell side, as well as with underwriters, issuers, and institutional investors both locally in the U.S. and internationally. As a result, Mesh has a close working relationship with over 200 hedge funds internationally. Mesh was recently given the distinction of being recognized as one of the top 30 traders in the business (Trader Monthly Magazine Aug/Sept 2005) and one of the most influential faces in the high yield market (JP Morgan).

Mesh graduated from the Edgar Bronfman School of Business at McGill University in Montreal, Canada with the top scholarship in the program.
